Orbis Auto CEO: China entered the Kazakh market on time
President of Orbis Kazakhstan Sukhrab Makhmudov told Forbes Kazakhstan about how Chinese car brands are conquering the Kazakh market and why it is beneficial for the country's economy. According to Sukhrab Makhmudov, the arrival of Chinese car brands on the Kazakh market occurred at a very good moment. This made it possible to fill the created niche after the departure of some Western manufacturers and offer consumers high-quality cars at affordable prices. Chinese automakers have made a huge leap in quality in recent years. "Today, their products are not inferior in many respects to their European and Japanese counterparts, and in terms of price-quality ratio they often exceed them," said Makhmudov. We see great potential in the development of Chinese car production in Kazakhstan. This includes not only the creation of new jobs, but also technology transfer and the development of related industries. "Our new plant in Almaty will be an important step in this direction," said the President of Orbis Kazakhstan. Orbis Auto already represents Chinese brands such as EXEED, KAIYI and ZEEKR in the Kazakh market, and plans to expand this portfolio. In addition, the company plans to increase production localization and develop export potential. We consider Kazakhstan as a hub for the supply of cars to the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus. "Our geographical location and the created conditions for investors make this strategy quite feasible," concluded Sukhrab Makhmudov.
