New automobile plant opened in Nur-Sultan
The grand opening of a new automobile plant built by Orbis Kazakhstan took place in the capital of Kazakhstan. The company will specialize in the production of commercial machinery. The new plant is located in the industrial zone of Astana and covers an area of more than 10 hectares. The company is equipped with modern equipment that allows it to produce up to 5,000 units of commercial machinery per year. The opening of a new plant is an important step in the development of the automotive industry in Kazakhstan. These are not only new jobs, but also technology transfer and the development of related industries," noted the president of Orbis Kazakhstan Suhrab Mahmudov. The government will continue to create favorable conditions for the development of the automotive industry," said Kazakh Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Kairbek Uskenbayev, who attended the opening ceremony. At the first stage, the plant will produce trucks and buses. In the future, it is planned to expand the model range and increase production capacity. Investments in the construction of the plant amounted to more than 15 billion tenge. The company has created 500 new jobs, most of which are occupied by residents of the capital and nearby settlements.
