The Orbis Agro holding company (part of Orbis Group) has received its first batch of high-yield pedigree dairy cows. The animals arrived in January at the “Budennoye SK” dairy farm located in the Gabit Musrepov district of the North Kazakhstan region. A total of 165 Holstein-Friesian heifers were imported from Germany.

The livestock underwent strict selection and quarantine procedures at European farms. All heifers are pregnant, with calving expected as early as March, which will enable rapid herd expansion. This delivery marks an important milestone in the development of a modern 1,200-head dairy farm. Built in 2025, the facility is equipped with Westfalia technology and features a rotary milking parlour.

The Holstein-Friesian breed was chosen for its high productivity — these cows can produce up to 40 liters of milk per day under local conditions.

In 2026, Orbis Agro expects to receive several more batches of cattle.
